The Rajah Inn

Re-visited The Rajah Inn with hubby sometime back. Tried their ala-carte buffet set and got a chance to try the some of the dishes which we saw the other time. We make full use of the buffet and tried as much types of food we could fill ourselves with. 😉

Here's some special dishes we tried:

The Chicken Rojak is yummy! The taste of the rojak in chicken is very special. Having the crispiness of the peanuts is very yummy! Eating with rojak sauce give a different 'sensation' to a usual rojak we had! 🙂 Rojak sauce with the crispy peanut enhanced the taste of the chicken. It's rojak with chicken! Yummy!

The fish fillet though small is nicely grilled. Look at the color of the fish fillet, doesn't it look tempting? 🙂 Not a fan of fish but I am alright with the fish fillet as there is no 'smell' of the fish. 🙂 If I do remember correctly (Had this meal quite sometime back but was lazy to update :-P), adding of the lemon make the fish even tastier.

The grilled sotong... it's not bad. I would prefer that they put more sauce to the dish so that the dish would not be that dry. The Indonesian style sauce do make the sotong taste somewhat special. Sotong is chewy. 🙂 Yummy!

The fish glue is the best. 🙂 Hehe! Usually it cost more expensive then the other dishes. But because it's included in the buffet menu, we managed to order that that evening. The fish glue slides down the throat as we put it in our mouth and we simply couldn't resist and ordered a 2nd plate. 😛

That's the first time I had taken sugarcane with crab row. It's really a different taste. Imagine the sweetness of the sugar in the crab. It doesn't make the crab taste weird but make it taste sweet in a yummy way! 🙂 I like to suck on the sugarcane juice and really! It's really sweet with the additional of the taste of the crab. Special! No much recall for the seaweed prawn roll though. Probably it taste just like any seafood ball. No special even with seaweed added to it.

There are still lots of dishes we tried too. But here's the best of the best: The desert, Durian Ice-Cream

Think it's one of their chef's recommendation.
Don't be full by the plain outlook of this durian ice-cream. It's really taste like pure durian. I could even feel the durian puree when I put the scoops into my mouth. The taste of the durian, the smell of the durian... well, it just sweep me off... 🙂 be sure to have a taste of their ice-cream while you are there! 🙂
