Last year, we were lucky that my friend gave me 1 voucher at Horizon Bistronomy. Since the date of our anniversary is within the validity period, we decided to had our dinner there for our anniversary.
We called up to make a reservation for the dinner and also looked up for any reviews and recommendations for the place we will be going.
Horizon Bistronomy is a french restaurant that serves fine and quality french food. The restaurant had both indoor and outdoor seats but most of the diners would prefer to sit outside where they can have a good view of the sea.
We chose the outdoor table also but the sky was dark and cloudy that day so we did not sit at the open space which can look out to the sea.
Just finished shopping@ Robinson Sales and MPH sales. The kids say they are hungry. So we decided to stop at Macau Express for some snacks before going home. While waiting for the food, here's the tired kids.
And the food we ordered arrived. The warm small soft egg tarts are nice. Amilie say the egg tarts are cute.
Mango Sago was sweet though the portion was not much.
Here's Izaac eating half boiled egg
We liked the food that we buy additional food back to share.
On Saturday, my MIL went on vacation with her friends and we brought the kids along to send her off and also had our dinner there too.
We had initially wanted to try the Soup Restaurant but there was a lot of people and we decided to try the Wang Cafe which is just right next to it.
We got a spacious table where we can place the luggage and baby's pram.
Hubby ordered a Curry Chicken Nasi Lemak. Which he thinks that it's not bad.

We happened to come across Ah Seah Eating House at Kovan Centre one afternoon while looking for some place for lunch. The first time we went there, we tried the stall next to the drinks stall, a stall selling claypot food. The stall name is “Fu Xing Claypot Xiao Chi”, Stall #6, according to the signboard. We each ordered a different set of claypot dish and we ate till very full that day, agreeing that we should have ordered a set and share instead.

So the second time we went there, we ordered the Sliced Fish Soup set that cost $10. The set consists of the Sliced Fish Soup, Claypot Sesame Oil Chicken, Vegetables and 2 bowls of rice.

My favorite dish is the Claypot Sesame Oil Chicken. It’s just taste yummy and really suits my taste bud. I think I would miss this dish when I was on confinement.

The vegetables were normal and I prefer the claypot tofu that was included in the pomfret soup set. Not sure whether they could change the vegetables to claypot tofu instead.

The slices of fish in the sliced fish soup were fresh and it’s alright for someone who doesn’t know how to eat fish. The soup is considered “cooling” as it’s cooked with bitter gourd.
We went to Downtown East for dinner and decide to eat at BBQ Chicken. As there were 3 adults and 2 kids, we decided to order the Combo Jumbo Family Meal which consists of 8 pieces of combination of “Original Crispy”, “Hot Hot Drum” & “Korean Charbroiled Chicken”. The combo set consists of the French fries and coleslaw.
The waiting time wasn’t long before we were served with our dinner. The fries and coleslaw were placed our table first. We ate the coleslaw after we had the chicken.
I tried the Korean Charbroiled Chicken and I liked the taste a lot. The sauce that was used to marinate for the Korean Charbroiled Chicken was sweet and nice. It was definitely to my liking.
The original crispy was different from the crispy chicken at KFC. The chicken was nice but I still prefer the charbroiled chicken I had. The kids had the original crispy and do they like it? Sure they do!
The last chicken is the hot drum. I did not taste that as according to hubby, it was very spicy. It was actually the original crispy chicken drum spread with the spicy chili sauce. However, our helper was able to take the spiciness of the chicken. See how hubby’s picture after eating the spicy hot drum.
Something to mention for the side dish, the coleslaw, it was very delicious and tasty and hubby finished the whole plate alone.
Well, one thing is the cost of the meal, it’s more costly as compared to the regular family fast-food and we would think it’s not a meal that can be eaten every other day.
It's been awhile since I had updated on yummy food.
Went to Tiong Bahru Plaza few weeks back and it seems that there was a new western food stall open (Not sure how long ago :-P)
Anyway, decided to try the western food since I had not tried before. I tried the Chicken Cutlet set @ $6.50.
[singlepic id=1567 w=320 h=240 float=center]
The chicken cutlet is quite small in portion. There's also the usual salad and fries. I would say that the chicken cutlet is quite common taste.

The set comes with a bowl of cream of mushroom.
Though there was nothing special of the chicken cutlet set, I am still tempted to try the other dishes from the same stall.
We went to Charlie's Corner @ Changi Village for dinner. It's a small stall by the side of the Changi Village Food Centre. The whole stall looks like a small cafe by the beach with some small chairs and tables.
There were quite a few people eating and relaxing there at that time. Here's what we ordered that day:
I had chicken cutlet and the chicken cutlet was big but normal.
Went to Alexandra Village for some Seafood. As there were many stalls selling seafood, we decided to try another stall other than the usual stall that we used to patronize.
Soon Lai BBQ Fish had a special yummy taste that were different from the other stalls that we tried. Hubby ordered some of the usual dishes.
Here're the dishes.
The lala, had a unique taste but it wasn't to my liking though. Probably used to the taste of the normal spicy taste. (more…)
As our fridge broke down few weeks back, we went to Bukit Timah Courts to look for a fridge since hubby’s friend was working there. After buying the fridge, we decided to have our dinner nearby.
Hubby’s friend brought us to the Taiwan Porridge and we decided to settle our dinner there. We had the sweet potato porridge once again and the guys had a few bowls of porridge.
We ordered some dishes based on the recommendation of his friend.
After a year of our visit to The Rajah Inn. We decided to had our dinner back at the stall. We were early that day and no queue was required. We had ala-carte buffet that evening.
There was a change in menu. They have added quite a few new dishes and have also added a new soup base. We had 1 herbal soup and chicken soup base.
