Sushi Tei @ Vivocity

March 31, 2008 · Filed Under Yummy! · 2 Comments

I had cravings for crabs and had actually went to Alexandra Village for the crabs however the stall wasn’t open that day. We decided to went to Vivocity instead for our dinner.

We walked about Vivocity and finally settle at Sushi Tei as I was thinking of having sushi few days back. We had to queue for a while before we got out seat. The exterior of the Sushi Tei was very nicely decorated and the interior was very nice too. Too bad we did not get the chance to sit near the window. But the seats were very equally separated and I feel that we are in our own cubicle although there was no door or curtains.

Puncak Best Noodles @ Far East Plaza

March 29, 2008 · Filed Under Yummy! · Comment

Had lunch at Far East Plaza and we decided on Puncak Best Noodles. It was a normal muslim stalls and it was crowded due to the lunchtime crowd. I was attracted to one of the noodle in the menu and decided to try that.

The honeydew chicken noodle was just like our chinese chicken dry noodle. The orange sauce, though I couldn’t really figure out whether is it honeydew, was sweet. It’s a pity that the noodle does not come with a bowl of soup otherwise it would be perfect.

The chicken was a bit hard for me though and I gave up some of the chicken in the end as I did not want to use my hand. :) Given the price, I would think that it is very cheap and worth it.

Surprise Celebration @ Shokudo

March 28, 2008 · Filed Under Mama's Yakking, Yummy! · 3 Comments

It was very nice that the group had organised a surprise birthday celebration for me and another colleague which our birthdays are some few days apart at Shokudo @ Raffles City Shopping Centre. When we reached there, the queue was really long. Luckily, one of them was there early to queue and we waited a while before we got the seats.

The Shokudo is a Japanese Marche style. We were given a card with a $100 value and if we were to lost the card, we would have to pay $100 for the card.

Thai Express @ Paragon

March 27, 2008 · Filed Under Yummy! · Comment

We wanted to try something else than the usual lunch that day and we decided to go to Paragon to take a look. Finally, we decided to try at the Thai Express.

At least it’s something different, that we don’t eat everyday. I had forgotten what the others had but here is what I had.

The glass noodle is actually what we call “Tong Hoon”. The presentation of the noodles were very appetizing, with the soft shell crabs and the fried glass noodle in the pot. It was not bad but I didn’t managed to finished the whole pot that day, probably it was too much for me. The soft shell crab was nice and yummy.

Probably next time I want to try the other dishes….

Cooking School

March 26, 2008 · Filed Under General · Comment

I loved to go to different places to eat. I think that the chefs who cooked must have spent a lot of effort in mastering the culinary skill they had today. They might need to find culinary schools to attend classes to gain knowledge on the art of cooking.

Going to culinary school or cooking school enables them to achieve a higher standard of degree of cooking if they want to pursue further in cooking. They would learn the different methods of cooking skills and I believe that’s where the restaurants get to hire such good chefs for customers like us.

As I loved ice-cream cake. Hubby had managed to get a nice ice-cream cake from Swensens for me. Thanks Hubby! ;)

It was my birthday and as I was working that day, we only managed to celebrate my birthday after my work. As I had already bought the tickets for the movie Horton Hears a Who! at Lido, we brought Amilie to watch. I met PapaTang & Amilie after my work at Lido.

Had our dinner there and as we were sitting near to the McDonald, Amilie wanted to sit with him after she finished her meal. She climbed up on to McDonald’s leg. Seeing her so comfortably sitting there, I decided to take some picture of her and she gladly posed for me.
