Makeover

January 30, 2008 · Filed Under Mama's Yakking · 10 Comments

Brought the little kids for makeover. It was a 2 hr photo shoot and both the kids were being make-up and hair was nice done. They also provide the costumes for the little kids to take.

The effect of the pictures were not bad though the photo shooting was quite frustrating. With kids not really understand what the adults want. Izaac wasn’t being much co-operative as he doesn’t want me to be standing far from him. I have to be beside him for him to play with the toys.

Amilie wasn’t smiling much. And I was quite surprise that the photographer did manage to take some very nice pictures.

Breathing Therapy

January 26, 2008 · Filed Under Mama's Yakking · 5 Comments

2 weeks ago, I was complaining of headache to my colleague and she told me to breathe through one side of my nose. She said she received an email saying about breathing therapy. And she forwarded me the email too.

Here’s what she sent to me:

Left nose, right nose breathing therapy

We have left, right nose, is that the same for inhale and exhale?

Actually they are different, can feel the difference; right side represent the sun, left side represent the moon.

When having headache, try to close right nose and use your left nose to do your breathing, about 5 min, headache will be gone.

If you feel tired, do it the opposite round, close your left nose and breathe through your right nose. After a while, you will feel your
mind is fresh again.

Right side belongs to heat, so it gets hot easily, left side belongs to cold.

Most of the girls breathe with their left nose, so their heart gets cold easily.

Most of the guys breathe with their right nose, so they get angry easily

Do you notice the moment we wake up, which side breathes faster? Left or right?

If left is faster, you will feel tired. So, close your left nose and use your right nose for breathing, you will get refresh quickly

This can be taught to kids, but the effect will be better if apply by elders.

I used to have headache, it was so painful, go to doctor, doctor told me:
it will be all right if you married! (All audience laugh), doctor does not bullshit, what he said is supported with proofs.

That time, every night I am having headache problem, not able to study, I did take medicine, but that is not a good way.

One night, I sit down and close my right nose and breathe with left nose, less than one week, my headache problem is gone! I continue to do it one month, from that night until today, headache does not attack me anymore.

This is what I experienced myself, I told others, if headache, can try this way, because this is effective for me. Many people have tried and it works for them as well. This is a natural therapy, not like medicine, taking for long term will get side effect. So, why not try it out?

Always breathing your body can feel very relax.

Florence Italy Accomodations

January 26, 2008 · Filed Under General · Comment

It’s great to be going on holiday, to get away from the busy schedules and indulge ourselves with a relaxing tour. This year, we are planning to go to Hong Kong, and I do hope that we are able to go for holidays every year.

Hopefully, we could go somewhere further next year, maybe Florence or Tuscany. We can expect the prices of staying in these places are definitely not going to be cheap. I had heard from friends that it would be more advisable to rent holiday apartments instead of staying in hotels if the stay would be long and especially if we are going with our family. We could even have choices of staying in farmhouses, which would be a good experience for the kids too.

One of the better ones is Florence Italy Accommodation. This portal site has information on all types of rental properties in Florence or Tuscany ranging from Florence Apartments to Florence Castles, from Tuscany Farmhouses to Tuscany Villas. These rental properties can be rent for short term or long term basics, so if for those of you who are just going to Florence for a holiday, you can check out this website too. If you are keen, just check out their website at http://www.florenceholidays.com

Amilie too…

January 25, 2008 · Filed Under Mama's Yakking · 1 Comment

Amilie started coughing 2 days back too. She didn’t went for her playgroup yesterday and was brought to see doctor. Doctor said Amilie had throat inflammation and was given antibiotic.

Probably Amilie doesn’t like the minty medicine and we had a hard time feeding her with the medicine. She didn’t want to drink the medicine and in the end I had to carry her to ‘force’ her drink the antibiotic. After drinking the medicine, she was still crying non-stop and she vomited all out in the end.

I hope that she is able to recover faster even though she didn’t manage to drink the antibiotic. It’s heartbreaking to see her coughing and crying away.

Some updates at the polyclinic on her 3 year old assessment on 12/1/08.
Height: 95cm
Weight: 13Kg

She is able to walk up and down the stairs by herself.

Next assessment would be next year, and Amilie should know the alphabets by then for the eyesight test. She would also have to know how to draw a circle and a square.

Izaac Unwell Again

January 21, 2008 · Filed Under Mama's Yakking · 2 Comments

Recently, Izaac had been coughing a lot. We could hear the phlegm in the throat. Yesterday afternoon, he woke up from his nap feeling uncomfortable and vomited after crying for a long time.

Think there is too much phlegm already. He had been very grumpy recently, probably due to his coughing and cold.

This morning, we brought him to see the doctor near our house and he had to refrain from eating fruits, sweets and drinking honey and barley water. That’s what the doctor say.

After taking the medicine, the little boy is still grumpy (probably feeling sleepy). He is still coughing away and I hope that he would be able to recover soon.

Oh, PapaTang is also not feeling well. Haiz… just hope that everyone in the family would be well.

A+ Merchant

January 18, 2008 · Filed Under General · Comment

As I surf the Internet more, there is high chances of me buying something online, either for someone or for myself. Especially for something which I couldn’t get locally, I could just surf the net online and had it deliver to us. Shopping online, I would prefer to go to merchants which are accepting credit cards on website provider of merchant accounts as it would be easier to make payment for.

Credit cards usage is so common that a lot of people have more than one credit card to their names. Credit cards if used wisely can help you to save money instead. Sometimes, we could earn points or rewards using credit cards too.

A+ Merchant not only provides services for the merchant to accept credit cards for buyers to pay for their goods and services, they also offer ways for retail stores to process credit card payments. It is able to provide Visa & Mastercard Payment Solutions that merchant would not worry about. If you are doing business and require services for processing of credit cards payment, you can check out the website for more details.

Plugin Upgraded!!

Ever since the upgrading of Wordpress, I had posted less pictures on our blog as the plugin is not compatible with the Wordpress version. After some wait, finally the plugin had upgraded too. Yippee!!

Now, I could finally start posting pictures again. I had better start arranging the pictures which had not been uploaded to the Gallery yet.

Well to test out the plugin, whether is it working the same as previous, here’s some pictures taken on Amilie’s birthday. :)

Hotel Search

January 17, 2008 · Filed Under General · Comment

The last time we went traveling overseas, it was like four to five years back. After the pregnancies and birth of the two kids, the chances of us going for tour becomes lesser. Finally, this year, hubby had agreed to take a break from his busy schedule and planning for a trip to Hong Kong.

Although our trip was to be planned probably later part of the year (I had project on hand currently), I am very much looking forward to the trip and would started spending some time looking out for tour advertisements. Not only that the tour is to be fun, we should think of accommodation and expenses too. To maximize the tour trip and expenses, we need to compare the prices for nice and Cheap Hotels.

As I was searching around, I found one nice website which have many travel guides to different countries and cities. The travel guide allows us to search through the database for hotels and list out the hotels based on the required criteria that we selected. I find that it’s a very accessible way to compare the different rates of the hotel and we could easily see which would cater to our needs and expenses.
Had to discuss with hubby which hotel he prefers. ;)

Izaac Having Fever

January 17, 2008 · Filed Under Mama's Yakking · 3 Comments

One week after injection, think Izaac’s started to feel feverish already. He was having 37.9. But he was still as active as ever.

As he is still as energetic as always, we decided to observe him for a day before bringing him to see doctor. However, we did sponge him a bit and did use the cooling pad for him. I was surprised that he didn’t cried when we put the cooling pad on his forehead.

He even let me took some pictures of him. Would upload the pictures much later. :)

This morning, he was still feverish. When I left for work, he was still crying away, wanting to follow me. Hopefully that he is feeling better tomorrow.
