Situated @ level 1 Tiong Bahru Plaza beside KFC facing the road is a Shanghainese style restaurant.
People (most of the tables taken up)chatting & eating away. Friendly waiters & waitresses.
Though noisy & warm (non-air conditioned), I could feel the relaxation & enjoyment of eating there. 😉

Every dishes in the menu looked yummy! We decided to try some of their signature dishes.
Here's the dishes we had:-
[singlepic id=776 w=320 h=240 float=center]
[singlepic id=777 w=320 h=240 float=center]
Nutritious Herbal Chicken La Mian - $8
The herbal soup is just right. The chicken is soft & tender. Noodle is very Q & smooth. Yummy!
[singlepic id=778 w=320 h=240 float=center]
[singlepic id=779 w=320 h=240 float=center]
Shrimp & Olive Fried Rice - $7
Here's a healthy dish! The pork floss & salted vegetables bring out contrast to the bland taste of the fried rice. Yummy! However, we find it's a bit expensive for a plate of fried rice. 😉

[singlepic id=783 w=320 h=240 float=center]
Shanghai Pork Dumpling - $3.60
When you put the small dumpling into your mouth. Oooo.. you can just feel the juice of the pork spilling out as you bite it! Oh! It's sensational! Yummy!
[singlepic id=782 w=320 h=240 float=center]
[singlepic id=784 w=320 h=240 float=center]
Xuan Feng Signature Durian Puff - $3.20
This is a MUST try dish! (If you like durian) It's really really yummy! The skin of the puff is chewy like the glutinous rice and yet crispy due to the frying of the puff. The best part of when the durian oozes out into the mouth. The sweetness of the durian puff is just nice, sweet but not too sweet. 🙂 And remember to eat it while it's hot! 😛
That's all we had that day. 🙂
Here's what we might order the next time we went there:
[singlepic id=773 w=320 h=240 float=center]
[singlepic id=774 w=320 h=240 float=center]
[singlepic id=775 w=320 h=240 float=center]
Probably you could try their drinks too. 😉
P.S. There is also another branch at Hougang Mall Level 2 🙂
