Desserts @ Ji De Ci

Went Chinatown one Tuesday evening in search for dessert & chanced upon this shop. What actually caught my attention is the shop name. "Ji De Ci", translated is "Remember To Eat". Since we are looking for desserts, we went in to try.

The shop uses "traditional" style of tables and chairs & we seems to enter a Hong Kong style cafe.

Hubby choses a Peppermint Herbal Jelly while I choses the Ginseng Herbal Jelly.

Hubby's Peppermint Herbal Jelly tastes very fresh. I had a hard time eating mine though. Well, the Ginseng taste was very strong and bitter. After eaten a quarter of the bowl with hubby laughing at my choice, he saw a small jug near to my bowl of herbal jelly.

Seems like honey, and then we realised that the honey syrup was supposed to be added to my ginseng jelly & yap! it tastes much much better and indeed the honey blends well with the ginseng. I finished the remaining bowl of Honeyed-Ginseng Herbal Jelly in a swift. 😛 Yummy!

I would want to go back and try the other flavours of the Herbal Jelly. And also to help in my complexion yeah! 🙂
