Botak Jones @ Toa Payoh

Had been wanting to go there to eat since I know of this western food stalls. Finally, got a chance to go there with my colleagues for lunch one afternoon. 🙂

Hubby & friends had been there once (without me! Humpz!) but ratings given by them wasn’t quite satisfactory. Anyway we went ahead. It’s better that I try it myself, right?

Took a bus there (it’s just a few bus stops away from our office) and we arrived at the canteen of the Industrial estate beside the News Centre along the Braddell Road. It’s quite spacious and we can see that most of the patrons ordered western food. By the side of the canteen, there is a beach like stall selling beer by Botak Jones too. Didn’t order any drinks. (We’re still working! 🙂 )

Most of us order Fish & Chips. When it was served, this is what the person told us, “Because our fish are smaller pieces today, we are giving 2 pieces, normally there is only 1 piece” Hmm… its quite worth it right… But… the problem is most of us only managed to finish 1 piece of the fish. It’s too huge! And something about the marinating or powder that they use which wasn’t really to my liking. Fries was added with chilli powder which is special.

A friend ordered something special – Cajun Chicken Burger (or not?!) Forgotten the name, only know its a burger. 🙂 It looks yummy though. Forgotten bout his comment for the burger. 😛

For me, I think it would be a bit costly for me to eat the fish & chips. 😉

P.S. If you do want to give it a try. You can visit Botak Jones’ website for the locations. There’s more than 1 branch!

I pass by this restaurant everyday, twice a day some more, as Iden’s cc is just opposite it. Have also been telling myself to go try but till now, have not. Thanks for the review… think no harm to go try one of these days….
