3rd Prenatal Visit on 7th Mar 2009

For the past weeks, my appetite had become better. Still feeling tired and sleeping not well. Though still feel nausea, I could replace the feeling by eating. I liked anything about potatoes at that time. From chips to fries to potatoes boiled in soup. I could keep munching anything that’s potatoes.

My weight had increased to 40kg. When we saw the Gynae, his first question was whether we want to know the gender of the baby. We told him “Yes!”

Puzzling Izaac

Last year, when I bought jigsaw puzzles for the kids to play. Only Amilie was interested in fixing the puzzle and Izaac didn’t seem interested in playing with the jigsaw puzzle.

Recently, Izaac liked playing with jigsaw puzzles a lot. And he liked companionship when playing with puzzle. Sometimes, even though he knew where the jigsaw puzzle pieces were to be fixed at, he still wanted to ask us where to fix it and told us he didn’t know where to fix it. Guess kids when they reached a certain age, they would be interested with puzzles.

Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden on 14th Feb 2009

The first time that the kids went to Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden, they didn’t get to explore the whole place as it was almost closing time when we reached there. Think the kids didn’t have much memories of the place.

This year’s Valentine, we decided to have a simple morning family outing. As I was easily tired, we decided to go to Jacob Children’s Garden to let the kids enjoy. I didn’t expect the place was quite big, the other time; we didn’t walk through the Garden.

2nd Prenatal Visit

After the first prenatal visit, my appetite was still not good. I still did not gain any weight, only 37kg (Yap! I am underweight) when I went for the second prenatal visit. Always feeling tired and not getting enough sleep. Woke up in the middle of the night and couldn’t get back to sleep after waking up.

For my second prenatal appointment, the gynea told me that I was to take the blood test. I was quite surprised that it was time to take the blood test as it was only my second appointment. I don’t remember taking the blood test during my second prenatal visit. After getting the blood sample to be sent for lab test, it’s time to see how the baby is doing.

The First Few Signs Of Pregnancy

The first few signs when I suspected that I was pregnant were when I started vomiting and noticed that I missed my period. Another symptom was that I got tired easily. To clear the suspicion, I decided to buy the pregnancy test kit to check whether I am pregnant.

For my previous 2 pregnancies, my pregnancies were tested and confirmed by the doctor as I felt unwell. However, for this time, I decided to buy the pregnancy test kit at Guardian. Though the test results weren’t that obvious, there were high chances that I was pregnant.

Decided to go to a GP to confirm my pregnancy result and our suspicious were correct. I am pregnant. However, the GP wasn’t able to tell how long I was already pregnant and advised me to go to see my gynea.

Zoo Trip 2009

It’s almost a once a year thing for us to visit the Singapore Zoological Garden. This year, we decided to go earlier this January as a belated birthday celebration for Amilie.

As usual, we always had our meal at the KFC near the entrance of the Zoo before embarking our tour in the Zoo with the kids. The kids took some pictures in the restaurant while waiting for Papa Tang who’s queuing up for the food.

Meeting With Amilie’s Teacher

Amilie doesn’t have any class today. Instead, it’s meet the teacher session today. We brought Amilie to meet the teacher in the morning. We were a bit late for the time slot allocated to us. Mdm Mas, Amilie’s form teacher was waiting for us when we reached there.

Mdm Mas gave us a file with Amilie’s work. Next, she told us Amilie is a very helpful girl and doesn’t give her any problems. She understands the instructions given by the teacher and able to convey the instructions to her fellow classmates. Mdm Mas also mentioned that she would correct her classmates if they did not follow the correct instruction. She is teacher’s little assistant.

Izaac’s 4th & 5th Day at Playgroup

Finally the last 2 days of the first week. Having the experience of mummy leaving the classroom without him, On the 3rd day, Izaac cried and quickly held on to me when it was about to go home. I had to assure him that I will be waiting outside the classroom for him.

On the 4th day, I decided not to go into the classroom with him and he cried from the moment he stepped into the classroom. Can see that he was unsure of what to do and he was insecure with the whole environment. As we could peeped through a tiny slid through the window, I stood there watching him standing there helplessly then after awhile heard him telling the teacher that he wanted his mummy.

Amilie’s 4th Birthday

Time really flies, Amilie’s already celebrated her 4th Birthday this January. Couldn’t really remember why we didn’t went out in the day. Probably we had to work that day.

We celebrated her birthday at home in the evening. Bought her the Disney Princess Ice-Cream Cake from Swensen. She was into Snow White at the time.

Izaac’s 2nd Day In Playgroup

For his 2nd Day at playgroup, I decided to accompany him for his lesson, (so I could take some pictures of him). He is still very shy, sitting quietly alone at the table and looking around instead of playing with the blocks which was placed in front of him. He kept looking up to ensure that I was in the class with him.

The teacher divided the class into different groups for different activities. Izaac got to paint with his hands for the first time. He enjoyed the painting with his hands quietly and only changed color when the teacher told him to.
