Tiong Shian Eating Place

If you’ve been to Chinatown and have never try the fomous Tiong Shian Porridge of Chinatown, then you’re not consider visited Chinatown before. This famous Chinatown porridge is located at 265 New Bridge Road, Ann Kway Building.
If you don’t know where is it, it’s a coffeeshop near to the main road. Near to the Chinatown Food Centre.
This place was always crowded with people and it depends on luck to find a seat. We were lucky that evening and managed to get a table quite fast. We were glad to get a table even though the table is near to the used plates and bowls.
There’s a lot of varieties of porridge and they do have some side dishes to go along too. Hubby had a century egg porridge while I had a bowl of cuttlefish porridge. In addition, we ordered a soy sauce tofu to go along. Well, it sure live up to it’s name. It’s really yummy! Even the tofu, W-O-N-D-E-R-F-U-L!! keke The tofu’s skin is crispy but the inside of the tofu is silky soft. Whew! I could still imagine the softness of the tofu. Yummy!
Here’s the pictures we took.
Look at the silkiness of the tofu!
By the way, they are operating from 7am to 2.30am, closed on alternate Mondays.

Hey we have enjoyed the wonderful porridge from this stall too! We know the place as å”城粥, though. But I recognise the pic of the toufu to be from the same stall. Really yummy!

The porridge there are really good, we love it! Especially the frog legs porridge. The porridge are good to go with the BBQ chicken wings over there.
There’s another porridge stall that is near to this Chinatown Complex, will try it out in the near future. Just look out for the review!

Clement, guess few people would know that stall by its English Name. If I had not been “addicted” to taking note of the stall name for the review, guess I would not have know too.

Angie wishes to strongly recommend the raw fish from this stall – cheap and good!
Oh, I just realised that I did a typo error above. The chinese name should be 长城粥, not å”城粥!
