Hubby happen to pass by this shop while walking to meet me. As we have no preference on what to have for dinner. We decided to give that stall a try.

According to the guy at the counter, it operated just like any fast food restaurants. The set meals are like KFC. Both hubby and I each ordered a set.

As the place was quite empty, there wasn’t any trouble in find seats. We sat down at a table while waiting for the meals to be served to us.

Saw the decoration on the wall and decided to take the picture. Read more

Had a gathering with some friends at Waraku @ Marina Square. It’s my first time there and I do like the ambience there. We had our own privacy chat as the table was separated as though we are in a cubicle ourselves.

We each ordered our set of dishes and some side orders to share among ourselves. Here’s the dishes we ordered:

We had cravings for Japanese food and decided to go to Great World City for our dinner. Had told hubby that I wanted to go there for dinner whenever we was at Great World City.

We were 4 in the queue when we reached there. While queuing for our turn, I took a picture of the signboard.

The restaurant was packed and the set dishes were sold out pretty fast. We were not able to get some of the set as there were sold out. It seems like they only have limited number of sets of dishes per day.

Hubby like the Pandan Rice but he commented that the sauce of the chicken wasn’t as thick as the chicken at Tiong Bahru. However, the rice was a bit of small portion for hubby, he finish after a few mouthful.

Cafe Cartel @ Junction 8

April 16, 2008 · Filed Under Yummy! · 1 Comment

We went for lunch at Swensen’s @ Junction 8 for lunch few weeks ago. It was a $9.50 nett lunch set meal. The meal includes bread, soup of the day, main course and a drink.

Too bad there was only 2 set of main courses to choose from:

The soup of the day taste like any normal cream soup.
The sauce of the fish is too creamy for me. I had to push the sauce to a side as I couldn’t take the creaminess any more.

Some of my friends took the spagetti but it look really really creamy. Truthfully, those who didn’t order that was quite grateful as we feel that it was very creamy.

Guess for this $9.50 set lunch meal, I didn’t really enjoy that much.

Zheng Zhong Dong Bei Cai @ Chinatown

It’s been awhile since we went to Chinatown for dinner as I am quite bored eating at People’s Park. Which we used to frequent. Hubby suggested that we went to the street opposite the People’s Park Complex for dinner. It’s a North East Cuisine Stall.

Not sure what is the stall unit that we went to but its a 2 to 3 stalls beside the Sarawak Kuching. The shop was crowded with people, most of them are not locals.

Here’s the signboard if you want to patronize the stall:

Sushi Tei @ Vivocity

March 31, 2008 · Filed Under Yummy! · 2 Comments

I had cravings for crabs and had actually went to Alexandra Village for the crabs however the stall wasn’t open that day. We decided to went to Vivocity instead for our dinner.

We walked about Vivocity and finally settle at Sushi Tei as I was thinking of having sushi few days back. We had to queue for a while before we got out seat. The exterior of the Sushi Tei was very nicely decorated and the interior was very nice too. Too bad we did not get the chance to sit near the window. But the seats were very equally separated and I feel that we are in our own cubicle although there was no door or curtains.
