Too Tired For Dinner

July 26, 2008 · Filed Under Mama's Yakking · 1 Comment

I was in my room resting when suddenly hubby came in and asked me to get my camera quick. Brought my camera out and followed hubby to the living room.

Well, got to the dining room and it sure is funny to have the moment capture. Here’s the picture I had taken that evening.

Fell Asleep At The Dining Table
Amilie fell asleep while eating her dinner.

She was sleeping on the chair looking so tired.
As Amilie went out in the afternoon and did not take her afternoon nap, she was so tired while eating her dinner that she fell asleep halfway through her dinner.

We woke her up after taking her picture as it would be too early to sleep and she would wake up later in the middle of the night. Hopefully, after that incident, Amilie would get to take her afternoon nap every day.

Izaac’s Birthday

On 14th June 2008, Izaac turned 2 years old. Luckily I didn’t have to work that day and we could bring the kids out that day for some fun. We brought the kids to Vivocity for some water fun. We didn’t stayed there long as we were being chased out by the management. However, we were able to capture some moments of the kids before we left.

Every time when we reach home, the kids would rush happily to the door to welcome us back. One day, when we reached home, we saw something weird with Amilie’s face. A closer look and we saw this.

The moment we know that Barney is coming to Singapore, I had been keeping a lookout for the sale of tickets from my company so that I could bring the kids to watch their favourite character.

When the kids saw the poster at Suntec City, they were excited. Here’s picture of the kids taking picture with the poster. They were quite distracted though. :)

Model Izaac

Recently, the kids’ shushu’s (uncle) future in law bought some clothes from China for them. One day, was in the mood to try the clothes on Izaac and think that it actually looked quite good on him. He loved to take pictures too and wouldn’t mind letting me take pictures of him.

I let him try the brown color suit first as the red color set is meant for Amilie. And surprisingly, it looked nice on him.

Farewell, Sujiah

July 5, 2008 · Filed Under Mama's Yakking · Comment

Sujiah was our domestic helper and she had came to work at our place for 2 years. As she had to go back to her hometown to take care of her mum, she won’t be renewing her contract with us.
When the contract ended, work permit cancelled and the air ticket was bought, it was time to send her off.
We brought the kids along to send off her so that they knew that she would be returning back to her home in Indonesia.
As we had not had our breakfast, we decided to have a quick breakfast at Burger King.

Maid Nightmare

June 19, 2008 · Filed Under Mama's Yakking · Comment

It’s been awhile since we’ve update our blog. We are currently trying to adapt to our life without our maid for 2 years while waiting for the replacement of our new maid to come in.

After our maid told us she couldn’t renew her contract with us as she wanted to go back home, we had went searching through the database online. We managed to had the new maid we selected to come in 2 days after our first maid left for her home.

The nightmare started when the new maid came in. Well, frankly speaking, I don’t think we are bad employers but we got this kind of maid.

The 3rd day the new maid came, she actually requested to bring Amilie downstairs to play. Of course, she got rejected. The 4th day, she requested to bring Izaac downstairs to play and was rejected again. We were shocked that she had this kind of request within the first few days.

After 1 week, she told us that she does not want to work at our place. Then we had no choice but to call the agency to understand what she was talking about. The agent told us that she would try to work at our place. But 1 week later, she told me that she didn’t know how to take care of children and she doesn’t like to take care of children.

So we decided to change the maid. During these time, before she got transfer to another employee, she still need to work at our place. And the following week, my MIL found her standing on the kitchen window grill. She told us that she wanted to take the towel at the latch of the kitchen window. Well, base on her intelligence, we did not believe that she had wanted to take the towel.

Suspect that either she wanted us to send her to the agent or she wanted to shun off her work. That’s what I had observe for her 3 weeks stay.

Anyway, we decided to send the maid to the agency and currently, we had to wait 3 weeks before our next maid come in. Pray hard that the next maid would be better.

On The Bus Waiting…

I realise that it’s been a long time since I took picture with both the kids together. So I decided to take some pictures, in the meantime, keeping them occupied with posing for some camera shots while on the bus.
I started with taking pictures for Izaac. Izaac now loved taking pictures, whenever he saw my handphone, he would want to see his own picture. Read more

The Building Blocks

May 13, 2008 · Filed Under Mama's Yakking · 1 Comment

We bought Izaac some blocks to play with last year. Ever since Izaac had the building blocks we bought for him, he had been enjoying his block building a lot. He love building tall tower with the blocks. The first few times he built his tall tower, it would topple over easily as the base was the same width.

Recently, he was able to build the tower without toppling down by using a wider width as a base.

Here’s some snapshots of Izaac building his tower.

Probably it’s time to buy more blocks so Izaac could start building higher tower.
