Jigsaw Puzzle & Amilie

December 14, 2007 · Filed Under Mama's Yakking · 3 Comments

Amilie got her first set of Jigsaw Puzzle last 2 weeks ago. It’s a free gift from Drypers. And she loved it. It’s a 6 pieces puzzle each of different animals. The first time she played it, I guided her along most of the time, after 3 to 4 days of playing the puzzles, she could actually complete the puzzle with minimal guidance from me.

See how she concentrating on fixing the jigsaw puzzle (I told her to keep into the box every time she completed an animal.

As we see how much she had enjoyed playing with the puzzles, we purposely went to buy some more puzzles for her to play. She took few days to “master” the jigsaw puzzle. Now, she is able to quietly fix the puzzle on her own. Think we can buy more pieces for her next time. ;)

Today’s update…

December 13, 2007 · Filed Under Mama's Yakking · 2 Comments

We just went to Amilie’s playgroup orientation earlier and got Amilie’s uniform for her playgroup class starting next year. She look cute in the purple uniform. Was told that they have to wear their uniform on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. While for Tuesday and Thursday, they just need to wear the T-shirt as they would be having arts & craft and going to the playground.

They have a booklet for parents on tips of how to handle our children on the first month of their class. In case they cry during the first few days of school. I wonder whether would Amilie cry on her first day of school. The children also would be going to excursions twice, once in March and another time in September. Had to plan my leave already.

Was told by the teacher that they would get to take their arts & craft back home. I hope that I would be able to see her artwork soon.

Now, we just have to wait patiently for the school to start on 3rd of January.

Provident Capital

Sometimes I wonder whether banks and other financial institutions are getting too lenient and easy on their loan processing. It seems that more and more people are able to apply for credit cards, credit lines and loans such as personal loans or secured loans without too many hassles. Some of my friends who do not have stable employment are able to apply for loans without any problem at all.

While this is good news for retailers, in the long run there will be many consumers who will suffer. Some of those who are issue loans are not financially savvy and do not understand the implications involve if they failed to pay for the loans. Banks and financial institutions have to bear the majority of the blame.

Some of them may consider taking custom tailored loans from Provident Capital where funding of loan is a hassle-free job.

Caught Red-Handed

Izaac loved to search our bags. And he loved to carry bag, except for my pink bag. Phew! Whenever he saw PapaTang’s bag unlocked, he would opened it and tried to search for things inside.

PapaTang wasn’t around and see how he enjoyed taking out the documents in PapaTang’s bag.

When PapaTang came into the room, he hurriedly tried to put back the documents into the bag but was caught red-handed anyway.

Not only that, PapaTang found Izaac’s toy inside his bag, he had put the toy inside his bag instead. That’s my boy!

Our Tour On 081207

As mentioned in the previous post, I brought the kids on the tour to Singapore Changi T3 organized by our club.

Around 8.15am we set off to the Singapore T3. There we got a chance to “check-in” and have a tour inside the departure and arrival hall. There are a lot of shops and the airport is nicely decorated with plants and creepers as though to emphasize on Singapore is a “Garden City”. As it was a guided tour, we didn’t really get a chance to slowly tour around the T3 and have more photos taken.

Los Angeles Criminal Defense Attorneys

Sometimes when someone is down on his luck, anything can happen to him. For example, one of my friends was going through a dark patch recently and got into the wrong side of the law. Luckily for him, his parents are able to engage a top lawyer to help defend his case and in the end he got away with a heavy fine. Given the nature of his charges, it was indeed very fortunate for him.

That’s why it’s always important to engage the right law firm and lawyer to help you fight your case in the event you are charge for a serious crime.

If you are staying in Los Angeles and in need of a top law firm, you can’t go wrong with Kestenbaum Eisner & Gorin LLP, a Southern California Criminal Defense Law Firm which specialized in defending clients on all felony, misdemeanor, and DUI charges.

Ikoi Japanese Restaurant @ Miramar Hotel

December 9, 2007 · Filed Under Yummy! · 4 Comments

Having heard so much about this Japanese Restaurant. I finally got a chance to try it. Made a booking about 1 month in advance, (heard that you need to have a booking as it’s normally fully booked)

Reached there around 6pm and as the rest of our colleagues hadn’t arrived yet, we took some pictures outside the restaurant.

Here’s some picture (It’s hard to miss the restaurant if you went to Miramar):

Having taken picture, we decided to order the food. As it’s a ala-carte buffet, the portion we ordered is actually based on the number of persons taking the food.

So here’s our food:
[image:163:c:s=1][image:182:c:s=1][image:192:c:s=1]
The sashimi is very fresh and I love the salmon and cuttlefish. Each piece was thick and fresh. Love the thick, tender and fresh sashimi.

The appetizer, was salmon and some sauce. It’s not listed in the menu. So I didn’t know what’s the name of the dish. It’s very nice and we loved the sauce. Too bad, each person is only entitled 1 small dish.

The fried tofu was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I could feel the softness of the tofu gliding down my throat. Yummy!

Chawanmushi, I didn’t try this dish as I not very much like Chawanmushi in the first place.

The crispy prawn tempura is also nice.

Don’t really like this dish because of the thick, huge potato. Probably was feeling a bit full after all the dishes.

This is actually the Japanese style of our Chinese “Yong Tau Foo”. We got a bit of a shocked when we the dish arrived. ;) Some radish, fish cake and other ingredients in this simple dish.

According to my colleagues, the fish cake was very cheesy. Though they were expecting the cute Japanese fish cake. ;)

The sauce for Yakitori was yummy. It blends well with the chicken. Though it’s quite saltish, I do like this dish.
Complimentary of the restaurant, the carrot is very crispy and sweet too.

Had ordered this dish thinking that it’s the appetizer we had, anyway, this dish was nice too. Quite a big piece for someone who is almost full. keke

This ’steamboat’ dish is complimentary of the restaurant. Each table is entitled 1. We had to wait for the fire to burn out before we could try this dish. As you can see, most of the ingredients are vegetables.
